Altenew Classic Imagery Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Welcome to the last stop on the Altenew May 2021 release hop, I have a lot to show you today!

Thank you Tricia for relaying visitors here!
This release includes a couple of absolutely drop dead gorgeous 3D Embossing Folders, that add a spectacular touch to your creations. For my first card I used the Daisy Bed Botanical 3D folder and I am telling you, if I was getting married again I would use this one for a wedding announcement! It is stunning, gasp...

I embossed an A2 size piece of heavy white card stock then I colored in the flower centers with water based markers in yellows and oranges. I die cut "hope" 3 times in green card stock and added a sentiment strip in black ink. Both from the older Hope stamp and die set.

Then I used this embossing folder on some champagne, metallic card stock from my stash - I would encourage you to try these folders with any speciality card stock, the results are amazing! This time I used various alcohol markers in reds and pinks for the flower centers and then I mounted the panel to a navy card. See another card with daisies here.

The next card uses the One-of-a-kind 3D Embossing Folder called Bunch of Balloons which I paired with the Balloon Bunch stamp and die set - a match made in heaven ;) My balloons were stamped in Chamomile and Snapdragon, Firefly and Green Fields, Coral Berry and Ruby Red, Iceberg and Eastern Sky. Then I stamped happy birthday on to one of the he red balloons in black ink and added Glossy Accents for a bit of shine.

I chose not to add balloon strings to keep the card clean and simple, not quite CAS but still... I added a bright red layer for another festive touch and was done.

For my next cards I used the new Buffalo Plaid 3D Embossing Folder together with an older stamp set, my old favorite Bold Floral Drape. I started with the stamping; Galactic Stream and Razzleberry inks on white card stock which I let throughly dry before running the stamped piece in the Embossing Folder through my die cutting machine. The embossed piece was foam mounted onto a white card base. Then I stamped a few sentiments from Label Love in Teal Cave and attached with glue.

For the second version of this card I stamped in Galactic Stream on to a deep red card stock in my stash, let dry and ran through the Buffalo Plaid 3D Embossing Folder. Used another couple of sentiments from Label Love stamped with Teal Cave ink.
I just love how cool these cards look with the texture that the embossing folder adds to the stamping!

The next few cards uses the Deck Planks 3D Embossing folder as a background for the Mini Delight Victorian Stamp and Die Set. I started by embossing the deck planks on white and kraft card stock, then I cut out a rectangle on the bias from each card.

The first Victorian House was stamped in Rose Quartz and Moon Rock and then die cut and mounted with Instant Dimension Foam Tape on the white deck planks. The panel was glued to a white card base and then I stamped hello (also from Victorian) in Moon Rock.

Only the colors change in the second card - I used Dew Drops for the house and again Moon Rock for the roof and sentiment. You can see the texture these embossing folders add to cards in this close up!

There are some amazing stencils also part of this release, for these two cards I used the Quilt Block Builder Stencil Set that has four stencils that allows you to create different patterns.
For the yellow/green card I used Citrus Burst, Fresh Lemon, Grass Fields and Pure Graphite inks. Then I cut out two of those squares and mounted them with dimensional tape on top of a green base

For the blue version I used the 4 inks from the Lapis Lazuli set.

The Thunderstorm background stencil is one I immediately fell in love with. For the first card I sponged a rainbow of inks through the stencil and added a heart and sentiment from the older Rain or Shine stamp set (one of my old favorites, see another card here). This panel was then foam tape mounted on to a grey card base.

Then I made a thinking of you/miss you card, stamping the skyline and a sentiment from Sketchy Cities America stamp set in black pigment ink on a white card and also on a silver card. The white card was cut down to be smaller and on there I sponged silver ink through the stencil. Then I used the Instant Dimension Foam Tape to mount the white panel on to the silver one glued all on to an A2 card base.

  33. I am crazy about all your cards! Definitely some of my favorites. I was intrigued with your daisy cards and wondered what beads you used in the centers until I read that those "beads" are the wonderful texture of the embossing folder. What a cool look made with markers! Each card deserves a comment but suffice it to say I have pinned your cards to Pinterest and will be referring to them in the future!
