Stash from the Past - Hero Arts

The constant releases from our favorite companies can be both overwhelming and cause us to forget all the great stamps already in our stash - so I am deliberately going back to my stamp drawers to make some new cards with older supplies.

Today I made two sets of very CAS cards using an older fall themed kit from Hero Arts.

The first set used smaller images stamped out in groups, then adding a tiny bit of pencil coloring and a sentiment.

All the images and sentiments were stamped in Dark Chocolate ink from the Altenew Crisp Ink range.

The simple coloring was made with Polychromos pencils. Super Clean and Simple.

I am entering these cards into two fun challenges - go check them out!

CAS on Friday - Challenge #190 Autumn

Casology - Week 376 DRY

The second lot of cards uses other images from that same Hero Arts kit.

Often I do not stamp sentiments on the front of my cards because I like the simplicity of just having images.

Here I stamped and gold embossed the vases on colored card stock that I shaded using a sponge dauber and some similar ink color. Then I stamped the branches in Dark Chocolate Altenew Crisp ink and colored using Polychromos pencils. As I had left the stamps in the MISTI, I over stamped in Versmark ink and heat embossed the outline in Clear embossing powder from Hero Arts.

The images were then die cut with coordinating dies and matched together, a branch to a vase.

To ground the images I used strips of Washi tape, and voilà, three more CAS cards!

I am entering these cards into this fortnightly challenge, without using the optional twist:

I would love to be on the Design Team, so wish me luck!

If you like my cards, let me know in the comments below and I hope to see you again soon!
Hugs,
Helen
