Golf, tennis anyone?
A CAS card today for the Altenew May 2019 Inspiration Challenge.
I needed a card for my brother-in-law's birthday so no flowers, but I am using the challenge colors and texture so I thought I'd have a go with my card.
This is Aga's lovely inspiration photo for the May challenge, it has a lovely flower whereas my card does not...
Adding more inks; Parrot and finally Olive to the texture paste allowed me to create a gradation of color from white at bottom left to fairly dark green at top right.
I then stamped the Halftone word happy in the same green inks and diecut the word 4 times in white card stock and once in black. All these words were stacked and glued together to create a thick and sturdy word.
The black bottom layer allows the word to stand out on this otherwise monochromatic card.
Then I stamped the word birthday and glue it to the card using some small foam pads under the openings between the letter to prevent the greeting from sagging.
Have a great weekend!
Hugs,
Helen

For the background panel I used the Halftone stencil to add white texture paste to the bottom left hand side of my card.
Then I mixed in a small amount of Bamboo ink and added the now greenish texture paste to the bottom right hand side.Adding more inks; Parrot and finally Olive to the texture paste allowed me to create a gradation of color from white at bottom left to fairly dark green at top right.
I then stamped the Halftone word happy in the same green inks and diecut the word 4 times in white card stock and once in black. All these words were stacked and glued together to create a thick and sturdy word.

Then I stamped the word birthday and glue it to the card using some small foam pads under the openings between the letter to prevent the greeting from sagging.
Finally I glued the decorated panel onto a grey card base - et voilà, a birthday card for golfer Thierry!
Have a great weekend!
Hugs,
Helen
