Today I am very happy to be participating in the Clean and Simple hop at Altenew - CAS is one of my favorite styles so this theme was a lot of fun for me!
And look! Altenew used my fruit for the blog hop banner, yeah!!!
Since it is summer time in Germany where I live I was inspired to use the
Simple Fruit stamp set and my gorgeous
Altenew Crisp Inks for my cards.
The first cards I made for this hop were the two strawberry ones, because we had just eaten some sweet and delicious strawberries after dinner, I felt super inspired!
For a good color gradation and making these strawberries look a bit more realistic; I first stamped the fruit in the lightest color then partially over-stamped in one or two darker colors, sponging away some of the ink from the stamp every time. Please note that for the strawberry I cut off the leaf part to stamp that individually in several shades from the
Green Fields family.
For the card above I used the
Red Cosmos color family and for the next card below the
Red Sun family.
I absolutely need to use a stamping tool for this kind of stamping since I over-stamp each image up to 5 or 6 times!
I cannot decide which combo I like the most so please tell me in your comments below which one you prefer!
The next card features the orange slices from Simple Fruits here I used the orange inks from
Here I tried to concentrate the darker colors on the peel of the orange - it does not have to be perfect and I do not even own the ink cubes - I always use my oval inks.
The last card I made using what I decided was a kiwi - maybe it's another fruit altogether? Here I used several random green inks from my collection until I was pleased with the result.
To complete these cards I stamped Thank You from the lovely Baby Zoo set - one of the first that I bought back in 2015 and still a favorite!
To finish these cards I cut the panels slightly smaller than an A2 card base to have a fine border and a tiny bit of height. To some I added a strip of washi but not sure if I should have - CAS or not CAS?
You should have come from lovely Joylita's blog and your next stop is Lana who I am sure have some beautiful CAS creations to show you as well!
As usual Altenew is very generous with prizes! This time they are giving away a $20 gift certificate to 3 lucky winners and a $15 certificate to 4 other winners! To win, please commet on the Altenew Card blog and/or each designer's blog post by July 3, 2022.
Also join the party using the Inlinkz at the
Altenew blog for you to enter your beautiful, Altenew CAS creatiobns.
They will pick their favorite handmade creation from those who joined the linky party and they will receive a $10 Altenew gift certificate.
