Christmas Cards 2022 - 23 card designs!

I have never recorded all my holiday cards in any given year but I have been making and sending Christmas Cards ever since 1995. Some years I have made the same basic card for everyone on my list, but nowadays I prefer to make several designs and duplicate a maximum of 10 of any design. Otherwise I get bored and I get sloppy...

These are the cards I have made for Christmas 2022, in no particular order:

Card #1 has the cutest Santa ever from a very simple little layering set by My Favorite Things; CS-600 Sweet Christmas. Stamped in Altenew crisp inks and Delicata gold ink for the baubles. Sentiment and outline in Versafine black onyx (for all cards except if stated otherwise). The blue rickrack card is an old one from Papersource. Mounted with foam for added dimension.

This is a simple card to mass produce so I actually made about 15 of this design.

The second version has no sentiment and a slightly different background to use up the scraps of blue rickrack card. Here I also added a fuzzy white pompom to Santa's hat.

Card #2 Concord & 9th Shine Brighter stamp and die set - I believe this came out in their very first year as a company. I do love this set, a lot.

I stamped and die-cut the light bulb with it's socket, then die-cut a circle into my card base, added some yellow vellum that came with a Hero Arts My Monthly Hero kit a couple of years ago. Added a piece of card-stock with a die-cut circle to the inside of the card to make it look neat.

This card is a bit more involved to make so I only made 6 of these altogether.

I made a French and an English version - Joyeux Noël is from the French company Simply Graphic and Happy Holidays is from a set by Colorado Craft Company.

Ink-blended Delicata gold ink to make the lightbulb glow and outlined in gold gel pen. Added Glossy Accents to part of the lightbulb to make it shiny and glasslike.

Cards #3 and #4 were stamped with two Anita Jeram sets for the Colorado Craft Company and colored with alcohol markers. AJ523 - Get Together and sentiment from AJ-525 Teamwork. The snowflakes were stamped in Altenew Arctic ink.

The snowman card was stamped with AJ-525 Teamwork.

And here's another version of AJ-523 Get Together and a sentiment from LL216- Build A Snowman.

Card #5 Christmas tree from an old Hero Arts My Monthly Hero sets, stamped and heat embossed in white on green card-stock from Faltkarten here in Germany. The star was die-cut from silver paper using a die from the same Hero Arts set. I did some dark green ink-blending along the edges to add some definition. The baubles are simple multicolored rounds from a variety pack by Paper Poetry. Very quick and easy.

Card #6 Village from the Mama Elephant Scene Builder stamp and die set, colored with alcohol markers. The star from Altenew called Stacked Snowflake was heat embossed in white on blue card-stock from Faltkarten. Sentiment from another older Hero Arts My Monthly Hero sets.

Card #7 has a bauble cut from glossy card-stock using the Hero Arts Infinity die called Bulb Ornament. The background is using champagne card-stock and a 3D embossing folder, one of the first 3D folders that came out a couple of years ago and right now I cannot remember the name and it has since moved... the snowflake is very old one from Papersource.

Cards #8 use the same Hero Arts bauble ornament die along with the D1793 Love Ornament Fancy Die. The background is stamped in Unicorn white pigment ink, this is the very first (I think) Hero Arts advent calendar stamp that was part of a My Monthly Hero kit a couple of years ago.

The second background was stamped in different pink Altenew dye inks using the Concord & 9th Holly Berry Turnabout Stamp set. Gold embossed sentiment My Monthly Hero.

Cards #9 Altenew Glitter card stocks and dies.

Card #10 is based (and CASEd) on a card design by Gina K Designs - I do not own any of her stamps but loved the idea and used it with the silhouette of Berlin (where I live right now). The Berlin stamp is from Karten Kunst. The Santa sled and greeting are from an old My Monthly Hero set.
The colorful background was ink blended within a masked portion of the card using Tim Holtz Distress Ink cubes. Unfortunately my Altenew Onyx black pigment ink pad has already moved so I only had Versafine Black on hand which does not give as good coverage for this type of stamping.

Again, fairly easy to mass produce if you like ink-blending - I made 6 of this design.

Card #11 is stamped with a no name stamp set that my friend Jana gave me - it has a sentiment "snow is falling" that I replaced with a sentiment from the Concord & 9th Snowflakes Turnabout set. I used a technique from Jennifer McGuire where you stamp in white Unicorn pigment ink from Hero Arts on to dark card-stock, let it dry and then over-stamp shifting your stamp slightly and this time in dye ink from Altenew.
To complete I then white heat embossed a couple of snowflakes and the sentiment.

Card #12 features some of the houses from Hero Arts set CM467 that might be called Cozy Houses? The Christmas tree is from a My Monthly Hero set. Houses were colored with alcohol markers and the sentiment heat embossed in gold.

Card #13 White on white cover die-cut from A Pocketful of Happiness called Leafy Background and a red die-cut sentiment from the Holly Berry die-set from Concord & 9th.

Card #14 is another CASEd card - I do not know who made it, sorry about that - but I used what I had in my stash to reproduce it. Hero Arts advent calendar bauble background stamped and heat embossed in white on grey card-stock. Infinity dies Bulb Ornament die-cut from white card-stock and ink blended using Distress ink cubes. Greeting from A Pocketful of Happiness set; Winter Wishes. Greenery cut out using Concord & 9th Holly Berry dies.

Card #15 Concord & 9th Leaf stencil and Distress Ink cubes. The sentiment, also from Concord & 9th Warm Wishes Turnabout stamped and heat embossed in gold.

Card #16 Ambridge Rose stamp, stencil and die set from Altenew. The vase is from Mod Vases, also from Altenew and was heat embossed in silver on to the background by the Holly Berry Turnabout set from Concord & 9th.

Card #17 Concord & 9th wreath and snowy acetate. I made several different colored versions of this square card.

Card #18 A Pocketful of Happiness and Concord & 9th.

Card #19 Forest stencil set from Picketfence Studios, sentiment from A Pocketful of Happiness and more snowy acetate.

Card #20 Concord & 9th stencil and Altenew inks, sentiment stamp from Simply Creative - and yet more snowy acetate.

Card #21 A Pocketful of Happiness and gold metallic card-stock.

Card # 22 Hero Arts Infinity Bulb Ornament die, sentiment and snowflakes from Simply Creative, an old gold paper ornament from Altenew and a ton of Glossy Accents!

Card #23 A wreath from A Pocketful of Happiness; Winter Wishes. And green metallic card-stock.

So 23 designs this year for a little over 60 cards altogether, quite a few of these were unique designs only made once. How many cards do you make and send every holiday season?

Sending December hugs,
Helen
