Graphic butterflies

Stamping patterns is a lot of fun and I am always looking for color and pattern inspiration.

I was stamping out a geometrical pattern, my inspiration came from this photograph (below left)  in Elle Decoration France January/February 2019. I couldn't find a link to this picture online and but I had cut out the photograph from the magazine since I really liked the color and shapes combo.

Unfortunately my stamping was a little bit off but I really loved the colors so decided to die cut and stamp butterflies from the paper and I love the result!

I am entering my first card into two challenges this week:

AAA Cards CAS Game #135 One plus three

Time Out Challenge #130 Unique

This is my second card which has a greater variation of colors seen in the butterflies.

Products used (from Altenew):
Simple shapes XL stamp set
Dream Big stamp and die set
Simple Flowers stamp set for sentiments
Crisp inks in Shadow Creek, Sapphire, Persian Blue, Pink Diamond, Orange Cream
Versafine Black Onyx ink for the butterfly

J'adore !

  3. These are quite fun! Love the graphic background making up the majority of the butterfly, but the black outline really sets it off! Thanks for stopping by my blog, and I just had to come visit yours!
