Wedding season

I have a couple of bridal showers and weddings coming up, wedding season is here with spring and summer around the corner!

Three cards today using two sets from Altenew; Majestic Bloom and Celebrations for the sentiments. The cards are similar but using different color schemes and layouts.

Start by stamping the four layers of the large flower from Majestic Bloom using the color combo of your choice. For the blue flower I used the Glacier Caves inks.

Then stamp out the leaves in different greens and also in the same color combo as the flower - heat emboss the top layer of the leaves in gold. 

The pink bloom was stamped in the Rose Petal inks. All the flower centers were stamped in Fresh Lemon.

Die cut all the stamped elements; flowers and leaves and also die cut the leaves a couple of times from gold glitter paper, I used a washi tape from DCWV.

Stamp the gold flower in Delectable Delights twice, one will be used for dimension.

Cut three piece of Neenah solar white 110 lb slightly smaller than your card front - I used a rectangular die for this. Then stamp the small leaf cluster in a random pattern using the lightest color ink from each group to create a subtle background.

Arrange the flowers and leaves in a pleasing cluster, glue down.

Stamp the sentiment on each card and heat emboss in gold.

To create dimension on the gold card I layered the bloom up using foam pads and for some tiny sparkle I added dot details using a sparkling gold Signo Uniball pen. This card will have to be hand delivered because of the bulk!

The blue and pink cards were mounted to card bases made from Altenew Pale Gray and for the gold card I used Neenah smooth Desert Storm.

They do look cool as a set, the gold one might be my favorite, probably because it's the most monochrome, do you have a preference?

These projects were inspired by another Altenew Academy class, In the Mood for Color. The class is very complete in that each lesson concentrates on a color mood and a different technique, definitely great inspiration!

It was also my last class in AECP level 2 so I am ready for new challenges!
