Rainbow heart

I love using heart shapes on my cards, see these blogposts for example; Tulip heart or this Heat embossed heart or in Stamping foxes. A heart is such a strong symbol and I feel that it is very versatile and can be used for so many different types of cards.

So no surprise that I was drawn to the Floral Heart Frame Die from Altenew when it came out a while ago but I only recently bought it. I usually get really excited when a new release comes out but I make myself wait before I buy anything, to make sure I purchase only what I will really use. This is not always easy!

After die cutting the heart from some very old dark blue card stock (bought before the year 2000!) I decided to make a rainbow for the heart to sit on. I blended several Distress inks and then glued the heart die down using spray adhesive and then I fussy cut the heart shape and glued down to a white card base.

The sentiment comes from the Halftone Circles set and it was heat embossed with white detail embossing powder from Hero Arts.

I am entering this card into the Case this Sketch challenge #330 their visual this time is exactly what I like making!

And I am also entering the Altenew July 2019 Inspiration challenge

Hope you are having a good week!
Hugs
Helen
