Altenew Paint-A-Flower: Lotus Outline Stamp Set Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($200 in Total Prizes)

Today I am honored to be part of the Altenew Build-a-Flower Lotus release blog hop.

There's a gorgeous new Paint-A-Flower released today; the Lotus. This set has a large lotus image under and over the water line and several lovely sentiments. But first thank you Teresa for relaying hoppers here, and peeps - you can always start hopping at Altenew!

If like me you are not great at coloring, do like I did and use some of the amazing paper from the Wildflower Paper Crafting Collection 6x6 Paper Pack to stamp your image on!

For this first card I stamped the image and one of the sentiments in black pigment ink and heat embossed in clear embossing powder. Then I cut the image down to 4 by 5 1/4 inches and glued down to a standard A2 white card base.
As the image is so beautiful by itself and the background paper provides color, you do not have to color anything in for a beautiful card.

Next I decided to make a brighter card by heat embossing in gold - I used Altenew Rose Gold embossing powder and that turned out lovely but I still felt that I should try to color in the images so I turned to my alcohol markers.
I have the Cosmic Garden Artist Alcohol Markers, set A so I used the pink markers for the flowers and the green markers for the leaves and did extremely simple coloring - I just love how this turned out! So what do you think, which is the card you prefer? Please let me know in the comments below!

Altenew is organizing a giveaway to celebrate this release with $200 in total prizes to commenters on all the stops of this hop, please comment before May 28, 2021 for a chance to win.
