Altenew: A Year In Review Blog Hop + Giveaway
I had a really hard time choosing my favorite four projects but here we are: tadaaa!
If you remember these cards you may have been here before; welcome back for another fun Altenew blog hop and a chance to win, read on to learn more.
All these are rather CAS but that is what I love. And all sent or given to people I love because that is why I make cards...
You should have hopped here from Fiona's blog Channeling Martha. If not please start at the Altenew card blog to see the work of all the talented designers. For your next stop with Ishani, read on!
But since you are here let's start with the Build-A-Flower Indian Lotus. This large bloom comes with layering stamps for color but I chose to color using a faux watercolor technique. Read all about how to make a card using this fun technique and learn how to use sentiment strips in fun and different ways in this blogpost.
This card was sent to my lovely daughter in France who I think is just that - fearlessly authentic!
The second card uses a gorgeous 3D embossing folder called Banana Leaves and a technique where you ink up the folder itself before running it through the die cut machine.
Read more about both these cards in Altenew Exotic Garden Release Hop
Then I stamped sentiments from Label Love and added on top. Read more about it in the Altenew Classic Imagery Collection release blog post.
Altenew has generously offered me a $10 gift certificate to give away to someone who comments on this post. The winner will be announced on this blog post on January 8, 2022.
For a chance to win, please tell me in your comment who you would send your favorite card to!
Altenew is also giving away a $30 gift certificate to 5 lucky winners and a $15 gift certificate to 4 lucky winners! Beautiful cards
ReplyDeleteI love the variety and multiple collections of colors choices on each card. I also enjoyed how you shared who you gave each card to. After all, that is why most of us love this craft. It gives us the joy of creating and the joy of making another person happy. To answer your question of who I would give a card to, I would say, to the person who needed it the most. That is why when I make cards, I usually make them in multiples of 100 or more. This year I made Thanksgiving cards and Christmas cards for everyone in my community who receives Meals on Wheels. Earlier in the year, I made cards for all the First Responders, Doctors and Nurses in town.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful designs! I LOVE the rainbow one!
ReplyDeletelove the 'don't quit' card, like the way you painted on the colors. would love to see a video on exactly how you got the colors to look splashed on the left side. I like you added the dot on the right and the rainbow color combo used
